Elections slowly slipping away from Dems??

May be it's just me, but in the last week or so I am seeing a concerted effort on the part of the Republicans to change the dialogue and instead attack Dems. This is the biggest attack from the republicans this election cycle. While this was expected, what I did not expect was the attacks go unanswered by the Dems. I am not saying the Republicans are ahead at this point, but look at any poll and the momentum has changed. Bush's ratings have inched up and all Republicans have gone into offense mode.
It is high time for the Dems to strike. The biggest issue this election cycle is Iraq and Terrorism. People now understand that Iraq was a mistake and that is the reason the Dems are up in the polls. The only strong issue for the GOP is Terrorism and this is where the Dems have to attack. You got to attack their strength. You cannot win by avoiding this issue. The Dems should be seen as willing and eager to discuss and debate the War on Terror. And their message has to be simple.
